Shifts Available: 

6pm – 6am (Night) 

Schedule:  

4 days on, 4 days off (4x4 shift structure, 12-hour shift) 

Pay:  

$27.71-$40.19/hour base pay(depending on experience).

Job Type: Full-time 

Work Location: In person

This position is responsible for the top Operations priorities within their respective manufacturing areas: Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement. The position also has direct impact on the Cost priority by making effective decisions on expenses. They are the first line leader for the personnel in their respective area and will be the main point of contact for all day-to-day communication and other operator interactions. This position also should demonstrate good leadership practices in relation with the Company’s interests. Conduct Tier 1 meetings, update production metrics, CI board owner for the shift, input on performance management and hiring decisions, and maintain area to meet 6S standards.

Safety:

Enforces use of proper safety equipment and adherence to company Safety policies to ensure work is performed in a safe manner

Reports and assist with investigation for all incidents (spills, near-misses, accidents, etc.) within Area

Quality:

Ensures compliance with internal Quality standards

Leads assigned team in ISO compliance and assist with root cause identification and corrective actions

Provides requested input on CAR investigations

Delivery:

Allocates resources (staffing, materials, etc.) within assigned team to ensure attainment of production schedule for Area

Continuous Improvement:

Works on projects (CI, A3, Kaizen, etc.) as assigned by Shift Supervisor

Owns issue resolution at the Tier 1 level

Leads daily Tier 1 meeting; attends daily Tier 2 meeting

Owner of CI and Tier 1 board and associated metrics

People:

Participates/provides input to Shift Supervisor for hiring and termination actions for his/her assigned team; participates in interviews

Entry/Review of Employee timecard records

Preparation of Employee Performance Reviews

Owns Cross-Training within assigned Area; identifies high potential Operators within Team who could learn other Areas

Owns successful transition of new Operators received from Ops Training

Coaches/mentors/develops Operators within assigned Area

Other:

Maintains communication with Shift Supervisor

Institutes company changes as directed by the Shift Supervisor

Participates on committees, cross-functional projects, etc. as assigned

Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Knowledge:     

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.  Basic business computer skills required (Microsoft Office etc.). Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) are required. Manufacturing experience is preferred.
