Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Area Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the timely and efficient collection of waste, recycling, and compost across 20 to 40 multifamily communities. This role includes supervising a team of 15 to 40 part-time Service Valets and ensuring that service delivery meets the highest standards of quality within the assigned territory. This position requires a blend of hands-on leadership, team supervision, and strong organizational skills to deliver seamless operations and exceed service expectations.
Hourly Pay Range: $20.50-$22.00
Schedule: The core work hours are 6:00pm – 12:30am, with two additional flex hours and a 30-minute unpaid meal break to complete the 8-hour shift. Shifts may vary depending on business and operational needs.
Work environment: Approximately 70% of time will be spent in the field managing and optimizing day-to-day operations, with the remaining 30% dedicated to administrative tasks from a home office.

Oversee the timely, safe and efficient collection of trash, recycling, and compost for assigned apartment communities, consistently meeting the high service standards expected by our clientsRegularly visit communities to assess service quality, complete container audits, identify any potential safety concerns, and promptly report or address issues as neededUtilize the iValet dashboard to monitor performance in real-time, identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance both productivity and service qualityReview arrival, departure, tracking, observation and last call photographsRespond to and log resident or community complaints in Salesforce, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of all concernsActively seek alternative coverage for Service Valet callouts, and step in to cover shifts when no alternative is available to maintain uninterrupted serviceEnsure Service Valets have the resources needed to perform service, including equipment, access keys, and other necessary toolsCollect necessary supplies such as personal protective equipment (PPE), containers, and brochures from the warehouse, and assist with container distributions and other tasks to ensure client satisfactionTeam Support:
Provide training on company procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, safety standards, and best practices, while instilling our mission of delivering exceptional serviceSupervisors are responsible for ensuring Service Valets uphold our mission, taking the trash whenever possible and leaving educational tags when guidelines aren't followedCreate, maintain, and communicate work schedules with clarity and professionalism, ensuring Service Valets receive sufficient notice to plan their weeks effectivelyOversee and approve timecards, verifying that reported hours are accurate and align with the budgeted hours expected for each communityEnsure adherence to safety standards, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly report any safety incidentsOffer ongoing coaching to support Service Valets and recognize their efforts with positive, constructive feedbackPromote open communication, ensuring Service Valets feel valued, supported, and well-informedHold regular meetings with Service Valets to provide ongoing training, share updates, address concerns, and resolve any issuesAdditional Responsibilities:
Actively participate in team meetings, whether virtually or in person, as required to stay informedPartner with the Operations Manager to monitor staffing costs and ensure adherence to budget guidelinesOversee the maintenance and upkeep of fleet trucks, ensuring vehicles are properly serviced and in compliance with safety standardsOccasionally assist with recruitment and hiring efforts, collaborate with clients, and support recovery efforts in areas outside assigned territory when neededTake on other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the teamQualifications:
