Job Title:  Area Manager – Tamil Nadu.

Reports to (job): General Manager – South Region

           

Ø Purpose of Position          

 

The job incumbent is responsible for the CIF business line activities in his area and for setting up, delegating, supervising and when necessary adjusting the business activities on tactical and operational level. The position performs in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy

 

         

Ø Major Responsibilities

 

Elaborating of business plan in agreement with CIF organizational objectives. Defining Sales, operational and technical KPIs within the action plan. Execution and monitoring of operational performance (Sales, Revenue, Productivity Ratio, Operating Profits etc) Analyse & Review monthly results and initiate corrective actions (including market / competitors / customers / key events), in line with CIF Business Lines. Identifying the business potential for organic and inorganic growth w.r.t existing & new products and markets. Recruiting, staffing, qualification, reviewing and training (individual development, motivation, delegation, empowerment, assessment, feedback) Provide technical and operational support by coordinating interfaces to responsible organisational units Ensure timely reporting by all sub-cons and monitor their payments linked to report submission Protect and manage LTO's (Licence to Operate) Organise (prepare, execute, follow-up) regular operational meetings with team Create and maintain relationships to large accounts by regular visits Elaborate reports on field trips Reporting of incidental issues (for example: new developments within the business / products, client feedback and complaint) Managing organizational Environment, Health and Safety commitment.

 

Ø Roles & Responsibilities for HSE

Must comply the BV Cardinal Safety Rules in all situations.                                                                                        To comply company HSE requirements e.g. policies, Procedures, guidelines etc. and local legal requirements on HSE as applicable To take care of own health and safety as well as colleagues and others.     Immediate reporting of any shortcomings on HSE i.e. any incident, unsafe work practices / conditions to his/her immediate Line Managers. Sharing opportunities for improvement on HSE aspects

Sales, Revenue and Profitability (including CIDS) Driving organic and inorganic growth opportunities Develop Large and Extra Large Contracts  Productivity per head and process optimization Customer satisfaction & Delight Protect and Manage Licence to Operate Effective & timely resolution of internal and external incidents Utilization rate Cost control Success ratio of sales leads generated by his team Establishing and implementing HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) enabled work environment.

 

     

 

 

Ø Qualification and Experience

 

Graduate engineer with min. 10 yrs of industry experience with min. 3 yrs experience in conducting 2nd or 3rd party audits / Inspections. Knowledge of ISO 17021, ISO17020, ISO17025 and similar applicable regulations and requirements. Knowledge of business lines, competition etc.

 

     

 

 

Skills & Qualities:

 

Should be a ‘Go to Market’ attitude personnel with ability to connect people, client contacts at higher level & should be able to convert contacts into business. Excellent interpersonal skills. Should have good leadership skills. Should be able to manage a team. Good communication and presentation skills.
