Requisition Summary
The AOM (Area Operations Manager) partners with assigned PacLease franchises to develop strategies and plans aimed at growing the Rental and Leasing business and improving franchises and PACCAR Leasing profitability. The AOM manages the business relationship with assigned franchises by interacting with franchise management and executives, as well as working with PACCAR Leasing and Peterbilt and Kenworth management teams.
This role can work remotely from home anywhere in the East Coast Region.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Work with franchise management to establish and achieve lease and rental business goals in areas such as profitability, lease sales, rental utilization, maintenance expense, etc. Monitor key performance indicators for franchises’ Sales, Rental and Maintenance departments. Regularly meet with franchise owners and management to review business performance and develop improvement initiatives. Leverage PACCAR Leasing Company’s departments and resources to support growth of franchise fleet and profitability. Consult with franchises and make recommendations aimed at improving operational efficiency and productivity. Provide franchise with maintenance management consulting aimed at promoting maintenance department practices that lead to adequate maintenance expense for the full-service lease and rental fleets. Develop annual and monthly new unit forecast for each of the assigned franchises and coordinate efforts to meet/exceed forecast. Ensure that franchises are adequately staffed to achieve goals and meet customer service expectations. Assist franchises in the recruitment and training of management, sales, rental, and maintenance personnel. Coordinate with PLC National Account Executives and to close national deals assist assigned franchises with closing local deals. Work with franchises to identify potential locations for Lease and Rental expansion.
Qualifications & Skills
5-10 years Full-Service Leasing experience, operations management and fleet management, preferably in trucking industry. Strong organization skills, communication skills (presenting, influencing, negotiating), self-motivation, and adaptability. Ability to collaborate across teams, influence others. Strong analytical and computer skills. Must possess technical and professional competence. Must be able to meet extensive travel requirements (70%).
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations, Finance or related field required. Master's Degree or MBA preferred.
