We are seeking an Area Project Delivery Leader (APDL) to oversee the execution of our Project Delivery Support Organization (PDSO) initiatives by monitoring project health and performance within their area. The APDL acts as a key problem-solver, is proactive in identifying project risks, provides insights into budgets and performance metrics, and conducts monthly reviews with the Area Leader. The APDL also works with project managers to effectively address budget overruns and reduce contract variances. This position is remote.

Responsibilities:Day to Day: Coach/mentor/support project managers, providing advice and solutions for emerging problems Provide timely, accurate insights into the Area’s performance.  Communicate clear information around budgets, forecasts, actuals, and margins across the whole portfolio of projects for the Area. Track and identify project risks On-board new Project Managers Support PMs with financial data needed for pursuits                    Weekly: Conduct pricing reviews (marginal analysis) for projects Analyze weekly project performance data provided by finance and compile risk data Coordinate with project managers on progress, challenges, and risk mitigation strategies Monthly: Analyze the monthly revenue recognition report and make recommendations for revenue adjustments Hold meetings with the Area Leader to review the portfolio, including projects at-risk, corrective actions, status of WIP/AR, P-time conversions, and work at risk. Review and work with PMs to convert Phase 2 time to billable time. Hold review meetings for projects with high risk or revenue exceeding $2M, inviting relevant stakeholders Initiate regular reviews for projects consistently performing below a 2.8 multiplier and projects/PMs with high reserves. Quarterly: Conduct portfolio reviews for the top three portfolios in the Area/Specialty, focusing on target multipliers, unbilled amounts, AR, and contract variances. Evaluate performance against Area/Specialty KPIs and summarize achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement. Assess needs for targeted PM training. Annually: Review and align with long-term strategic goals, making adjustments to project delivery approaches as needed Support maturity assessment of PMs Mentor/coach Project Coordinators Support PM training initiatives

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 10-15 years of experience in project management within the AEC industry  At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, overseeing project managers is preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred  Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques is preferred Familiarity with software like MS Project, Primavera P6, Deltek Vantagepoint, Power BI, or similar tools for financial reporting and analysis In-depth understanding of how billing rates, profit margins, and multipliers are calculated Ability to apply and interpret financial metrics for project and company-level financial analysis Proficient in tracking and improving project profitability Expertise in recognizing, tracking, and reporting revenue in compliance with company processes and accounting standards Ability to ensure accurate and timely revenue forecasting Skilled in presenting and translating complex financial or project data to diverse audiences
