What You'll Do Ensure safety programs are compliant (Injury Illness Prevention, Hazard Identification, Hazard Control and Correction, CMC safety regulations, policies and procedures) Conducts on-site safety inspections to identify hazards and compliance with OSHA and CMCA safety programs Responsible for developing and executing strategic safety initiatives Monitors changes to health and safety rules and regulations and integrates them into company standards, processes, and practices Provides assistance and supervision to area safety coordinators regarding division safety programs and regulations Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture Performs other duties as assigned What You'll Need Minimum 10 years experience in a safety leadership role desired Minimum 5 years experience in safety-related field Ability to travel up to 40%, with occasional overnight travel required Experience in the construction industry preferred Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with a variety of employees at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence actions of others Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access Motivate employees to follow the safety culture through administration of a Proactive Safety Measure program and consistent communication of CMC safety standards Good Analysis and evaluation skills Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations Bilingual Spanish preferred Must be able to conceptualize, develop, and execute safety initiatives Your Education Bachelor’s degree required. Industrial/environmental safety or construction management or related discipline preferred. A combination of formal education and/or directly related work experience may substitute for the degree. OSHA 30 Construction OSHA 500/510 Preferred Current First Aid/CPR/AED designation a plus.
