The ASM is responsible for sales growth and market expansion in the defined territory, the successful candidate will also develop sales and regional distribution strategies (where applicable). The ASM coordinates all marketing activities with distribution partners (where applicable), building designing and executing the plans needed to grow share within the assigned territory.Other parts of the role include:Expand customer base and develop business with direct and indirect customers.Visit both customers and prospects to develop relationships, build confidence in the C&A group and increase profitable business.To be the voice of the customer within the Control & Automation (C&A) group and the face of the C&A group within the customerPromote both existing and new C&A products to customers.Liaise as needed with internal functions to ensure the best levels of service are provided for customers.Keep abreast of competition developments.Conduct market research within the customer base to keep abreast of changing market conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Achieve sales targetsArrange and attend customer visits to new and existing customersEffectively negotiates salesDevelop customer relationshipsWork with distributor channel on business analysis Identifies, assesses, attracts and negotiates with potential customersIdentify market opportunities for C&A group productsExpanding the customer and contact baseDevelop strategic relationships within the regionProvide World class customer supportWork with distributors to increase market penetrationCoordinates all marketing activities with distribution partnersSupports all promotional programsAchieve customer visits/phone meetings to set targetsCreate and manage quotes for customers with appropriate follow upManage the opportunity pipeline to maximize value for the companyPresentation and demonstration of productsMaintain customer data in the company systemsWork with internal company functions to address customer issuesMonitor competitor activity, and key market trendsMonthly reportingExhibition attendance where required

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
