About the Opportunity:

Are you a dynamic and strategic sales professional looking to make an impact in the coatings industry? We are seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team in Brisbane and Surrounds (South-East Queensland). In this role, you will manage direct and indirect accounts to achieve sales revenue and margin targets while improving relationships and specification positions across all markets within the dedicated region.

We will count on you to: You will perform ongoing market and lead research to gain in-depth knowledge of the value chain within the dedicated region. This includes identifying significant business opportunities within applicators, fabricators, engineering contractors, owners, and consultants.  Establish and nurture strong relationships with both existing and potential customers. This involves regular communication, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement.  Collaborate with your team on key revenue initiatives and align with company and regional strategies, such as Focus Products, Services, and Partner acceleration. Your efforts will directly impact the company's growth and profitability. For instance, you might work on a project to introduce a new product line that meets specific market demands. You will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and reporting on the execution of sales and opportunity activities. This includes maintaining up-to-date customer databases (CRM) and ensuring they contain accurate and complete information. Regularly, you will deliver periodical business reviews and participate in designing business growth and sales plans. Promote educating customers on the technical requirements of the available product lines and support tools.  Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate and site policies, procedures, and HSES standards.  Actively interact with the Trade Centre Manager and staff on all day-to-day activities, including forecasting, planning, and stock management.  Work with the Regional Sales Manager, Sales Support, and Accounts Receivable to maintain accounts receivable (AR) and meet business KPIs for Australia. Additionally, ensure forecasting accuracy aligns with business KPIs, which might involve analysing sales data and adjusting forecasts accordingly. What you need to have: Previous experience in the coatings industry with knowledge of steel coatings, blast cleaning, and application. Understanding of broader business issues related to a sales role. High-level customer focus with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and /or influencing skills, along with your demonstration of persistence. NACE CIP Level 1 or FROSIO certification (desirable) A university degree or equivalent technical qualification is desirable. Desire to learn and build on product knowledge, along with detailed mind to ensure specifications are correct. A valid drivers license and full working rights in Australia. What We Can Offer:
