Primary Job Responsibilities + Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Distribution Teams to create accurate schedules. + Monitor and update project management software to reflect customer schedule requests. + Communicate schedule changes to all affected team members, both internal and external. + Work with logistics to ensure timely production and maintain consistent on-time delivery. + Collaborate with service center Operations Managers to ensure timely pulling and delivery of lumber and hardware. + Coordinate with field schedulers to ensure framing start dates meet customer expectations. + Direct production coordinators on tasks sent to the plant production facility. + Batch truss and panel (wall and floor) work orders to prepare for production. + Direct production coordinators on tasks sent to the plant production facility. + Provide guidance and support to field schedulers to align framing start dates with customer expectations. + Monitor team performance to ensure departmental and company goals are consistently met. + Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams. + Support training and development initiatives for team members to enhance skills and productivity. + Ensures that departments and company goals are continuously attained through order fulfillment, inventory accuracy and cost reduction initiatives. + Perform additional tasks and duties as requested by management. Management Responsibilities With Direct Reports + Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs + Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent + Delegates work according to employee’s abilities and skills + Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance + Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities + Creates opportunities for employee growth + Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors) Scope + Decision Impact: Individual + Department Responsibility: None + Budgetary Responsibility: No + Direct Reports: Yes + Indirect Reports: No + Physical Requirements: Not applicable Required Education/Experience + High School Diploma or GED required + Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Production Planning + Resource Planning Experience a plus Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications + Not Applicable Required Skills/Knowledge + Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Proficient computer skills + Effective analytical and cognitive skills + Able to write and speak clearly and accurately + Proficiency in using project management software to update and track schedules. + Ability to create and manage effective schedules for production and logistics.
