Job Description

Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services is hiring for Executive Protection. Duties & Qualifications:

The Executive Protection Agent is tasked with conducting close protection for a client located in Portland, Oregon. This role will be responsible for providing efficient and high-quality support directly to the client and staff, as well as safeguarding client assets. This is a full - time position, Monday-Friday, with potential for overtime to include nights, weekends and holidays. Executive Protection Agents are expected to competently respond to any situation that may arise while supporting the client. We are looking for protection professionals with a high level of emotional intelligence.

Protective Agents are often directed to work overtime (OT), nights, holidays and weekends and often travel domestically and overseas. Applicants should be in good overall physical, mental and emotional condition, have a reputation as a team player and be willing to work long hours with ever-changing schedules.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tactfully negotiate conflict and remain flexible is a must. Protective Agents must possess the ability to interact with all levels of corporation management, liaison internally and externally with a multitude of other departments and personnel. Strong oral communication and representational skills. Candidates must be able to brief, defend, persuade and instruct others on security requirements and policies. Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and organizational skills and the ability to write in a clear and precise manner are also required.

Act as Executive Protection Agent, advance agent, or support agent for security operationsEnsure the smooth operation of all services provided by the Executive Protection UnitDevelop and implement operational policies and proceduresDefine, develop, implement and continually refine security and safety programs to provide reasonable protection of designated members of the Executive staff and Board of Directors from random or premeditated threats.Manage and supervise projects, programs and operationsContribute to the organizational goals of the TeamEvaluate the present and future security environment to better understand requirements, course of action development and mitigation strategiesCommunicate with stakeholders regarding services and requirements of the organizationCoordinate with stakeholders regarding projects and services to help mitigate risk and/or impact to security operationsInitiate and maintain critical relationships inside and outside the organization to support security operationsSafeguard and maintain sensitive information regarding Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services and the clientAnalyze and resolve problems in a timely mannerObserve, report, and/or intervene as appropriate regarding any situation that may compromise the safety and security of the client’s people, assets and/or reputationParticipate in emergency response actions to facilitate the protection of the client’s people, assets and reputation. This includes verbal deescalation, use of non-lethal force, deadly force and appropriate medical treatmentContacting persons of interest and conducting field interviewsManagement of multiple assigned programs and projectsPrioritize workload to meet all security service requirementsRoutine problem solving and taskingParticipate in training activities as requiredParticipate in Team meetings as requiredAdhere to the client’s and Allied Universal Executive Protection and Intelligence Services policies and proceduresEffectively work with/communicate with othersAbility to legally possess a firearmPossess a valid concealed pistol licensePossess a valid driver's licensePossess a valid PassportMaintain reliable transportationMaintain good credit standingAbility to obtain a valid first aid/CPR/AED certificateMaintain an appropriate level of physical fitness

Job Requirements:

Be physically fit and possess a valid driver's license. Extensive military, corporate security or law enforcement experience, preferably in a military special operations branch, protective operations with a minimum of 3-5 years combined experience. Applicant should possess excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills, have high levels of integrity, and trustworthiness.

A graduate of a reputable executive protection training school desiredExperience and understanding of corporate cultureExtensive medial experience (EMT, First Responder, 18D, Paramedic, Navy Corpsman) desiredExperience with after action report writingOregon DPSST license and a concealed handgun permit is requiredLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions onlyWorking knowledge of physical security systems, alarm/CCTV equipment and monitoring, computerized security hardware/software, and technical security countermeasuresExperience working with C-Suite level executives or equivalent Leadership and management experience desiredExperience working with C-Suite level executives or equivalentStrong base knowledge in all facets of protective operationsAdvanced understanding of technology-based protective applicationsA working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)Will maintain a high level of physical fitness and personal appearanceAbility to work nights and weekends as requiredPossess a valid driver’s license and passport
