Armed Overnight Light Rail Security Officer

Full time Armed Transit Security Officer provides a visible presence, maintains safety, and public order on trains and platforms. Our officers are conducting fare enforcement on the trains, conducting foot patrols on the platforms, and interacting with the general public going through our transportation system. Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and have a valid CO driver's license or state ID.

Pay Rate $27.46 an hourThursday - Sunday 10:00pm - 8:00amFlexible pay options like DailyPay and weekly payGreat position for prior military and law enforcement

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activitiesRespond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving mannerConduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 21 years of age for armed rolesPossess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experienceMust have prior Law Enforcement, Military, or Corrections experience may be substituted with 7 years of unarmed security experience, 3 years of armed security or 60 college credit unitsAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry specific security/safety training programsLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
