Armed Security Guard
**Summary** The **Armed Security Guard** personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Government location. **Responsibilities** + Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions. + Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks. + Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders + Required to interact with public and government personnel + Will provide access control and conduct walking armed security functions. + Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned + Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment + Will conduct personnel, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection + Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holiday + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the S. Department of Education. + Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English + Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration + Active Secret Clerance + Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 S.C. 922 + Must be at least 21 years of Age + Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. + Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
