Armed Security Guard
Summary The Armed Security Guard personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Government location. Responsibilities Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions. Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks. Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders Required to interact with public and government personnel Will provide access control and conduct walking armed security functions. Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment Will conduct personnel, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holiday Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the S. Department of Education. Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration Active Secret Clerance Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 S.C. 922 Must be at least 21 years of Age Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
