Armed Security Guard
**Summary** The **Armed Security Guard** personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Government location. **Responsibilities** + Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions. + Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks. + Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders. + Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel. + Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions. + Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned. + Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment. + Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection. + Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. + Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English. + Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration. + Active TS clearance. + Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922 + Must be at least 21 years of age. + Possess a Valid NC driver’s license and able to operate SUV style vehicles. + Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. + Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross. + Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army. _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
