Serve as classroom model to aid instructors in teaching human proportions, body alignments, anatomy and structure. Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities + Pose for arts studio classes; figure drawing, occasional painting, sculpture, and photography courses as required by class curriculum. + Provide full range of traditional life drawing poses, from gestures to sustained poses as required by the instructor. + Responsible to dress appropriately and according to the needs of the instructor or art class assignment. + Maintain poses for a fixed period of time; pose with clothing as instructed. + Perform other related duties as needed. Department Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Individuals must possess the listed knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. The individual is expected to follow College work rules and policies. + Maintain a respectful distance from students and student work. + Maintain good focus and accurate record of hours. + Responsible with time management and schedule changes; flexible with time to be early or stay late based on classroom time needs. + Able to pose in a variety of positions and clothing styles. + Able to demonstrate flexibility and animation of the human form. + Knowledge of drawing terminology and responding prompts. + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using the English language with or without the use of an interpreter. + Knowledge and skills to use a computer, email, search the internet, and Microsoft software. + Ability to work cooperatively and sensitively with constituents from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives. Ergonomic Requirements Work is performed during regular classroom hours and in a classroom setting. Model may be standing or sitting for extended periods of time. This position requires a person with a very flexible schedule as hours vary daily depending on needs of accommodating classes and community members into the lab. To meet these lab demands, it may require recurring late/early hours. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting may occur. Must be able to climb or pull self-upward as needed. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Requirements + Education: High School diploma or equivalent. + Experience: Must be 18 years of age.
