The AI Enablement Lead has leadership responsibilities to set the agenda for the development, implementation, and ongoing execution of the AI Operating model, accountable for delivering value to business and technology stakeholders.  Operating independently and requiring guidance in only the most complex situations, the AI Enablement Lead is accountable for the AI Operating model encompassing Product Management, Execution, Governance, Operations, and Vendors.

Major Duties: Leads creation and implementation of detailed operating model functions below:

Product Management: researching and developing AI, industry, and competitor capabilities; developing and implementing product business cases and roadmaps; and scoping and driving organizational change needsExecution: managing the development and implementation of both core capabilities and product featuresGovernance: implementing appropriate governance, risk management, regulatory engagement, metrics, reporting, incident management.  This includes product and use case risk approvals and ongoing operational management.Operations: Engineering, Support, BU/Functional Operations, Model Operations, optimization, standardizationVendors: Risk assessment and ongoing management for third-party AI providers

The AI Enablement lead will

Define AI strategies that align with organizational goals.Lead product management, business stakeholders, technology, and risk domains to solve complex problemsBuild cross-functional alignment and influence with senior executives and other stakeholders to carry out highly complex activities and initiatives which can involve multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues, inspiring teams to coordinate value realization across teams beyond their direct responsibility. Act as a resource for direction, training, and guidance, mentoring the execution team on Scrum and Agile best practices, including Azure DevOps backlog health.Monitor project schedules and costs.  Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks, providing strategic solutions. Identify trends and assess opportunities to improve capabilities, processes, and execution.

In essence, the  AI Enablement Lead acts as a bridge between business needs and AI capabilities, ensuring that AI technologies are not only deployed but are deployed responsibly at scale, generating tangible value for the organization.

Salary Range:

$137,400 - 240,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
