Touro University seeks a highly qualified individual for a faculty position in Artificial Intelligence. This faculty position is a unique opportunity for a candidate who is interested in helping build new AI courses and programs at a highly diverse institution. We seek a candidate with a strong background in computer science and artificial intelligence, with interest in helping us develop AI education both within the field and across disciplines. Rank is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Teaching six courses per academic year in Artificial Intelligence and related areas, including both undergraduate and graduate-level classes.Developing and updating course materials to reflect advancements in the field, and mentoring and advising students, including supervising research projects at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.Conducting original research in computer science, focusing on AI and its applications, publishing findings in academic journals, presenting at conferences, and collaborating on interdisciplinary research projects. Qualifications Education/ ExperienceCandidates should possess a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field, with a minimum of seven years of experience in academia or in industrial R&D, and a proven record of teaching and research excellence.Demonstrated expertise in AI and its practical applications.A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic environment is also required.Knowledge/ Skills/ AbilitiesAbility to approach challenges with creativity and to foster a culture of innovation in the department.A high degree of interpersonal competency: professionalism, diplomacy, judgement, and discretion.Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.Cross-functional collaboration and leadership.Ability to drive change management and AI adoption organization-wide.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

Ability to lift up to 5 lbsExtensive use of computersExtensive time sitting and standing Maximum Salary USD $150,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $120,000.00/Yr.
