Artwork Production Analyst II

The Artwork Production Analyst II is responsible for the creation and brand management of production artwork files for complex customer accounts, as well as special projects on an as needed basis as assigned by the Artwork Production Manager.

Essential Functions

Manages artwork process for Beverage or specialty customers as the primary focus of this position with very little directionAdvises Team on project scope, provides Artwork Development project updates, and communicates PLM requirements on Workstream callsCommunicates and facilitates meetings with customers, printers and all internal departments for artwork projects and processes to ensure timely execution of all projectsTracks and communicates timelines for projects and assesses areas of opportunityEstablishes short and long-term production objectives consistent with organizational strategyManages and prioritizes internal artwork requests for special projects including branding concepts, digital mockups, marketing materials and social media assetsCoordinates and conducts consultations with customers, sales and any necessary third parties for initial review of pre-production requirements and best print production practices. Conduct training classes and overviews for customers, sales and third partiesGuide and advise fellow designers in both creative process and customer management to foster stronger working relationships and solutionsAttend press checks on behalf of our customers and Niagara and provides education to customers on Niagara print offeringsUses understanding of printing processes (specifically flexography), substrate knowledge and ability to thoroughly review and approve proofs based on customer’s approved final files and make suggestions for print improvement to internal and external customersManages workload independently and assists with delegating workload to other team members as needed, capitalizing on the team strengths.Acts as a consultant and reviewer of Supply Agreements containing verbiage around Niagara responsibility of prepress and graphic design charges to ensure estimates are within industry standards and Packaging Design Policy limitsDevelops knowledge and understanding of industry by continuing education.Creates conceptual designs and completes Marketing projects as assigned by Marketing Sr. Graphic DesignerAssist with oversight of ColorCert Job file creation, supplier sample reviews and sample libraryAbility to travel:20 - 25% - on average travels 1 week out of the month maxPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Education

Minimum Required: 

Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Publishing, Marketing, or Advertising
