Conduct on-site asbestos project monitoring to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards. Utilize a tablet in the field to document project progress, collect data, and generate reports. Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Perform air sampling and analysis to assess asbestos levels and ensure a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of all project activities and findings.

Essential Skills
+ Environmental science
+ Environmental field
+ Hazwoper certification
+ Environmental inspection
+ Air sampling
+ Maximum of 3 years of experience in asbestos project monitoring or a related field
+ MS Office Suite Experience
+ Valid Asbestos Project Monitor certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with air sampling
+ OSHA 10
+ OSHA 40 hour
+ Associates, BS, or MS in Environmental Science, Biology or related field
+ Capable of using a tablet for fieldwork and data collection
+ OSHA 40 Hazwoper
Work Environment
Will report to Senior Environmental Scientists. Team consists of 10-15 Environmental Scientists and Inspectors. This is a field-based position working on projects throughout New York City and the Five Boroughs. You will work on NYC Agency Projects and will be conducting sampling in the field. The office is located in Midtown, New York. The culture is fun and collaborative, with opportunities for growth and learning from senior staff. Additional certifications will be paid for during your first week of training.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
