We are actively hiring highly motivated Asbestos Project Monitors to join our team for immediate start. This essential role involves conducting on-site asbestos monitoring across New York City’s five boroughs, ensuring that all projects comply with safety regulations and environmental standards. As a Project Monitor, you will be responsible for real-time data collection, air sampling, and reporting, ensuring a safe and regulated work environment for all involved.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site asbestos project monitoring in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental safety standards.Utilize a tablet for seamless documentation, data collection, and real-time report generation.Perform air sampling and analysis to monitor asbestos exposure levels and mitigate any risks to workers' health.Work collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met efficiently and safely.Maintain meticulous records of monitoring activities, results, and observations for compliance purposes.Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in environmental science or a related field, with up to 6+ years of hands-on experience in asbestos project monitoring or similar environmental roles.Valid Asbestos Project Monitor Certification required.Strong knowledge of air sampling and OSHA 10 regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and record-keeping.Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.Additional Preferred Qualifications:
HAZWOPER Certification (highly preferred).Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field (Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s).Experience using tablets or mobile devices for data collection and fieldwork.Why Actalent?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
