ASDOH - Sterilization Team Lead Mesa, AZ Job Type Full-time Description A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Sterilization Team Lead on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The position is responsible for supervising the sterilization of used instruments and the checking out of clean instruments for dental students. Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the dental assistant floats and sterilization staff working within sterilization. This position will involve administrative (supervisory) and clinical functions. The administrative duties would encompass management of the sterilization staff, including assignment duties, assessment and tracking of hours worked, leave time, etc. **Job Duties:** + Complete equipment sterilization daily. + Maintain dental equipment inventory, create purchase orders, and supply control system as needed. + Sterilize used instruments and check out clean instruments to students and/or faculty. + Complete and scan Sterilization Assurance sheets for all three Steris V-120 Sterilizers. + Oversee completion of Spore tests. + Sterilization, OSHA Standards, HIPAA regulations, suction lines, traps & DUWL experience required. + Assessment of work hours for all sterilization staff, tracking of leave time, vacation, etc. + Assist the dispensing staff with budgeting, managing, and tracking sterilization inventory. + Oversee, initiate and record Sterilization Equipment repairs and logs. Oversee, initiate and record instrument trade-ins. + Oversee MCC collaboration and instrument use. + Supervise the Sterilization area in the Dental Clinic to ensure that proper protocols and procedures are followed. + Ensure staff is trained in all aspects of sterilization and compliant with applicable OSHA and other government standards. + Other duties as assigned. **Skills & Experience:** + High school diploma plus one year of technical training or schooling required. + Sterilization experience required. + Two to three years of experience in a dental office using inventory software/controls required. + Basic computer skills required. + Knowledge of HIPAA, FERPA, and OHSA regulations. + CPR Certification. + Knowledge of Axium-Ascend software and WASP Inventory Control software or equivalent.
