Asia Sales Enablement Leader (Investment Solutions)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Solutions Business at Mercer. This role will be based in Hong Kong. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

An exciting opportunity to join Mercer’s rapidly-growing global Investment Solutions business, which has seen phenomenal growth over recent years and is now the world’s largest provider of OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) services with over $600bn in assets under management.Asia is a region of tremendous growth potential for these services, and our business is heavily supported by our hubs in Ireland and wider Europe. As the Asian-based representative of our international sales support team, this key local role will be based in Hong Kong and will lead the overall support framework that is provided to our Investments Sales Leaders in the Asian region. You will have direct day-to-day exposure to a wide range of senior leaders and investment decision-makers across our Investment, Client, Sales and Operations teams.As part of this international team, you will be at the heart of the action: shaping our responses to large new-business opportunities across pension, not-for-profit, insurance or wealth-management client types for Asia. This is not a direct sales role but a team-based environment where you will be expected to influence our broader win rates through top-quality materials and processes, mentorship of more junior colleagues, and proactive thinking.You will enhance your knowledge and understanding of an entire range of investment topics like strategy-setting, private markets investing, ESG investing, capital markets, and more. You will also hone your skills around project management, communication of key messages in a concise way, and management of different personality types both internally and externally.We are a high-performing business with an extremely strong culture of inclusivity, diversity and teamwork. We also provide generous study-support packages (e.g. CFA) and are passionate about both career development and work-life balance.Develop in-depth knowledge of Mercer’s investment research and client solutions, in order to explain and communicate to colleagues and prospective clients.Work closely with sales and commercial leadership on all aspects of sales and business development activities, and demonstrate ownership of key sales deliverables including new business proposals, pitch material and any areas of specialist expertise that you may be assigned to.Support and influence other business development initiatives such as roll-out of new tools, product launches, marketing initiatives, go to market strategy, market research and intelligence. This will involve collaborating with worldwide Mercer colleagues across our wider investment, operational, client and consulting teams.Support, guide and coach more junior colleagues, and contribute to continuous development of the team.

What you need to have:

Bachelor degree holder or above in Finance or any relevant discipline7+ years working experience in financial service field  Significant investment-related knowledge and experienceExperience in business development, preparing business proposals for presentation and engaging with prospectsProven team player characteristics, interpersonal skills and ability to mentor junior colleaguesEnergy, proactivity and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and deliverables simultaneouslyCreative thinking with high standards of output, and ability to generate and review concise written materialsExperience with private-markets asset classes such as private equity / private debt would be particularly relevantAbility to communicate complex issues in a simple and coherent manner.
