DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Provide execution, advice, risk management, and market color to the firm's clients on Asian currencies and emerging markets in the North American time zone. Provide trading characteristics and liquidity on Asia local market, interact and consult with trading and sales counterparts in local Asia offices. Act as a liaison to the locally based Asia trading teams to help facilitate the onshore needs of the North American client base. Manage transactional flow and the firm's risk and exposure in the most efficient and optimal way, including working with colleagues geographically and across business functions. Work closely with ecommerce development and support teams to deliver best-in-class user experience and smooth operation of ecommerce platform for Asian currency products. Report, review, and sign-off on risk and P&L and ensure adherence with firm risk limits, corporate policy, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Address both short-term and long-term operational and technological issues, inefficiencies, and challenges. Interface with business partners in technology and operations to achieve solutions. Contribute to business planning and new business ideas and work to promote business initiatives to improve scale and distribution including technological and ecommerce related solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering, Financial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field of study plus 7 (Seven) years of experience in the job offered or as Executive Director, Asian Currencies and Emerging Markets, Executive Director, Emerging Markets FX Trader, Vice President/Trader, or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Macro financial markets and trading fundamentals; Global macroeconomics and geopolitics; FX trading and derivatives; Asian local markets and Asian FX market characteristics across currencies and time zones, including liquidity, fundamentals, and local regulations; Managing large client flow and risk at a sell-side financial institution in Asian currencies and emerging markets; Monetizing franchise value in Asian currencies and emerging markets; Servicing Asian central bank clients in Asian emerging markets; and Trading technology and applications, including trading aggregators, trading algorithms, third-party trading platforms, front-end trading systems, ecommerce systems, and spreadsheets.

Full-Time. Salary: $350,000 - $350,000 per year.
