Job Title: ASIC Design Engineer

Role:

Actalent is seeking an experienced ASIC Design Engineer for our client in Ottawa. You'll be an integral part of the development team, focusing on the creation and validation of innovative digital designs. Your duties will encompass writing RTL code, fixing lint errors, achieving timing closure, and collaborating with the DV team for debugging efforts.

Description

•\tDeliver standards-compliant IP blocks for use in OTN / Ethernet ASICs.

•\tStreamline ASIC development process with advancing tools/scripting.

•\tMicro-architect and document the design

•\tDevelop design using Verilog

•\tAssist verifiers and contribute to test suite

•\tIssue and track bug reports from inception to closure

•\tWork with our external customers and/or internal engineers to verify, validate, and deliver IPs for use in OTN / Ethernet FPGAs or ASICs

Experience Required

•\t5+ years of experience in ASIC or FPGA development

•\tTelecommunications Protocol experience with OTN or Ethernet

•\tGood RTL coding experience with Verilog

Nice to have’s:

•\tExperience with SystemVerilog

•\tExperience with timing closures

•\tExperience with Unix/Linux Shell scripting

•\tExperience with source code revisioning systems, SVN, CVS, RCS e.g.

•\tExperience with CXL or PCIE protocols.

•\tProficiency with debugging tools.

•\tExperience with scripting and programming with languages like PERL, TCL, Python, or C/C++.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00
