Description We are in the search for an Assc Patient Care Coord for our healthcare department located in IRWIN, Pennsylvania. This role encompasses managing patient medical records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a positive customer experience within the clinic setting. This short-term contract employment opportunity is perfect for individuals skilled in customer service, communication, and documentation. Responsibilities: • Efficiently handle patient appointments for various departments using scheduling software tools • Ensure excellent customer service by assessing and meeting customers' needs, and maintaining positive interactions with a wide range of patients, staff, and departments • Respond to customer issues in a timely manner, ensuring customer satisfaction • Maintain accurate patient credit records and process customer credit applications effectively • Coordinate and maintain a positive customer experience by managing pre-registration, registration, and business office functions • Display respect and dignity in all interactions, providing constructive feedback and clearly expressing ideas • Ensure appropriate documentation is obtained for proper advancement through the revenue cycle • Conduct interviews with patients and/or their representatives to gather accurate demographic, insurance, and claim adjudication information • Comply with all department processes and policies as required and updated • Identify and communicate recommendations for process improvement to management • Adapt readily to changes and consistently conform to all system changes including insurance payer regulations. Requirements • Demonstrated expertise in customer service and communication skills • Proficiency in office functions and documentation processes • Understanding of healthcare operations and planning procedures • Familiarity with healthcare policies and regulations • Ability to schedule appointments and manage schedules efficiently • Knowledge of compliance requirements in the healthcare industry • Experience in payment processing and billing functions • Commitment to quality and process improvement in all tasks • Experience in handling insurance matters and clinical trial operations • Proficiency in providing workstation support • Excellent phone presence and ability to assist customers effectively • Dependable attendance and punctuality • Experience in handling referrals and authorizations in a healthcare setting • Proficiency in using web applications relevant to the job role • Demonstrated productivity in a fast-paced work environment.
