**Job Title: Assembler - $19/HR** **Responsibilities** + Operate drills, saws, and tape measures. + Read blueprints and quality check own parts. + Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished products. + Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units as required. + Exercise authority and responsibility to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected. + Follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices, adhering to PPE requirements. + Follow written and verbal details to complete assignments. + Understand and adhere to company 5S standards. + Perform accurate measurements to part specifications using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments. + The shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm **Essential Skills** + 1 year assembly experience + Mechanically inclined + Attention to detail + Ability to read blueprints + Use of hand tools and measurement instruments + Steel toe boots **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with mechanical assembly + Familiarity with material handling + Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Why Work Here?** We offer long-term growth opportunities within the company, with many team members having been with us for over 5 years. While the environment is not temperature controlled, bay doors are kept open during warm weather and there is an air-conditioned cafeteria. The manufacturing floor is separated by department, and overall, the warehouse is relatively clean. You may be required to help unload and load freight on the dock as needed. Although there is a possibility of getting dirty throughout the day, maintaining a clean workstation is expected. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
