Medical Device Production Operator - Coating

Job Description

This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices, primarily in a clean room environment. The role includes formulating polymers and spray coating formulations, producing medical devices using a microscope, and operating various equipment and machinery. Candidates need to be comfortable working with chemicals and standing for the entire shift.

ResponsibilitiesOperate machinery to produce medical devices that meet specifications.Follow manufacturing instructions and update relevant job documentation accurately for traceability.Prepare and pack products for sterilization.Inspect products using a microscope.Ensure activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Set up coating machines, coat, inspect, and fold balloon catheters.Prepare excipient and spray coating formulations.Test formulations and package sterile and non-sterile finished or semi-finished goods.Identify supplies that need to be replenished.Build components needed for top-level work orders.Complete required cleaning activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in English (medium level).Experience with microscope inspection (preferred but not required).Willingness to work overtime.Comfortable working with chemicals.Familiarity with cleanroom/gowning and de-gowning processes.1+ year experience in the medical device industry.High School diploma or equivalent education.Additional Skills & QualificationsPharmaceutical or coating experience for coating positions.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is primarily based in a clean room environment. Candidates must be comfortable standing for the entire shift. The work schedule includes two 30-minute breaks: one off-the-clock lunch break and one on-the-clock break.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
