Power-Flo Technologies is seeking an assembler to join our New Hyde Park shop.

Pay Range: $18 - $22/hour

Assembler Required Skills

Familiar with taking measurements and working with a rulerFamiliar with assembling componentsAble to follow instructions in a proper mannerFamiliar with shop tools (hand tools, power tools, etc)Previous experience or training in a shop/industrial setting Mechanically inclinedValid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

 

Assembler Daily Tasks

Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a projectSourcing the materials to be used in the projectMeasuring and cutting materials to specificationsAssembly of switchboard enclosures and interior electrical componentsPreparing metal surfaces for finishingWorking with design team to complete switchgear packagesChecking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprintsPreparing completed packages for shipment

Assembler Physical Requirements

Ability to safely use and lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.Ability to work standing up to 8 hours per day.This position occasionally requires sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

Candidates must have a valid and clean NY State driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed.
