Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels. The work model for the role is onsite #LI-OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion business in US.You will be mainly accountable for:Assemble products according to Bill of Material ensuring the proper parts, components, revisions of parts, and documentation are included.Determine wire routing, cut, strip, label, crimp and terminate wire and secure bundles in accordance with engineering documentation. Layout cabinets, determining locations of components, wire and duct runs. Check sub assemblies and final assemblies for completeness and visible damage, ensuring conformance with quality standards.Perform operator based testing per procedures. Download software in AC and DC Drives in accordance with engineering documentation. Perform material handling activities, moving cabinets, carts, skids, wire spools, and floor stock. Ensure the completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, records, documentation, reject tickets reporting, etc.

Qualifications for the role

High School Diploma2 to 3 years experience in Electromechanical/Soldering assemblies.Experience soldering thru hole and surface mount assemblies on PCB’s highly preferred.Knowledge of power tools for electrical assemblies or related products.Knowledge and experience in ESD environment and expertise in wiring assemblies, connectors, and cables installationCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
