**Job Title: Assembler** **Job Description** Candidates will be working on the production floor where they will be responsible for the following: - Read Blueprints and follow work instructions - Utilize testing equipment to ensure conformance to prescribed standards - With proper certification, make minor adjustments/set up to production equipment - Utilize hand tools, such as crimpers, micrometers, wrench, wrench strap, torque wrench, and tape measure - Occasionally train other operators on assigned skill sets - Occasionally audit assembly operations against applicable work procedures and standards Initial job duties: - Cleaning and polishing the connector on cables, following that, candidates will be moving into more cable assembly. **Hard Skills** + Read Blueprints + Utilize testing equipment + Make minor adjustments to production equipment + Utilize hand tools + Assembly + Kitting + Production **Soft Skills** + Training other operators + Auditing assembly operations **Job Type** This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 640 Hour(s). **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Elgin, Illinois. **Work Environment** The building is split into two departments where separate assembly takes place. Candidates will be working on the right side of the building (the HCS dept.). The environment is clean, climate controlled, well-lit, and very organized.
