Job Description: Assembler – Unfinished

Work Location: Vandalia – 3520 Old Springfield Rd, Vandalia OH 45377

Work Location & Shifts:

1st shift is 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday

Pay:   $18.00 an hour. Occasional (OT).

Overview

Assembler will be working on assigned production line and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment. Measure, cut and assemble door units. Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. The assembler will either work on Patio Stock, Interior Stock, or Entry Stock work areas..

What you will need:

Preferably one year experience in manufacturing settingAble to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenHigh School Diploma or equivalent, preferred not required
 

What you will do:

Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials
• Ensure materials meet quality expectations
• Palletize, wrap, and label units as needed
• Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
• Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Verifies that components are being placed in the correct position per SOP
• Repeats tasks until entire door stack is complete
• Cleans up work area when shift ends • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
• Solid verbal and written communication skills • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field • Strong analytical skills & Knowledge of all door components • Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun, Screw Gun, Router, Tape Measure, Square • Required to stand for long periods of time • May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers
• Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
• Read and understand bill of materials • Due to the open environment of the facility, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold
• Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills
