job summary:
As an Assembler you will have the following job duties- - Successfully completes all aspects of assembly, test, and refurbishment on basic to intermediate level electro-mechanical devices as required. - Basic knowledge of how to follow and understand a variety of instructions including: work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, sketches, assembly operations sheets. - Will need to follow written and/or verbal instructions to construct electro-mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and components in a regulated environment. - Perform in-process quality checks on product, including visual inspections, to ensure product meets required specifications. Identify and communicate any defects. - Use testing equipment to ensure product is within documented specifications and utilize inspection tools to verify product specifications. - Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. - Attends required training and follows site, safety, and security policies, procedures and practices. - Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to floor leadership. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment as required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries. - Suggest improvements that contribute to improved quality, increased productivity and/or improved work environment. - Ability to support and provide training and guidance to new assemblers and cross-training employees on assemblies of various complexity. - Maintain accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, special products and data collection. - Participates in production meetings and reports out on-line exceptions and metrics to leadership. - Ability to work 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week, with potential for overtime as needed.
