Howden’s core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and have over a century of experience in doing so.The Compressor Products International (CPI) in Canada is part of Howden Aftermarket Division (repair, service and leasing product line).Throughout the world, our customers count on us for service and solutions that keep their compressors, lubrication systems, and business running. **Howden Canada CPI Service Center is currently seeking** **Assembler** **to join the local team at the Brantford (Ontario) facility** **\# of positions: 2** Work Schedule: Day Shift **_What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…_** In this role, you will be responsible for working on compressor repair parts. + Disassemble and clean components. Inspect for flaws, cracks, etc. + Operate manual and automated cleaning equipment. + Operate assembly and testing machines. + Able to read micrometers and veniers. + Perform fitting operations of valve components requiring filling, sanding, buffing, drilling, tapping and any other normal operation required to fit the component to the valve. + Capable of testing components to requirements while checking for leaks and improper function, and logging test data. + Keep a clean and orderly work area and maintain accurate records and job history. + Works with minimum supervision resolving complex issues + Adhere to all Health and Safety, and environmental requirements. **_Your Education Should Be…_** High school diploma or general education degree (GED) **_Your Professional Experience Should Be…_** 1-4 years of prior manufacturing assembly experience Reciprocating Compressor experience a definite plus- but not required **_Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…_** + on site work at the Brantford site 124 Shaver Street Brantford (ON) N3T 5P9 + Daily working hours:Monday to Friday from 7am - 3:30 pm Physical requirements: + must be able to sometimes sit; use hands to handle or feel equipment or generate/prepare reports, reach with hands and arms to install equipment, and talk or hear to communicate with internal and external customers as wellas management and other fellow employees; + frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch in order to instaland/or disgnose customer or company equipment and/or tooling. + occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs (18 kg) + specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus in order to read product results and generate customer/management reporting as requirement as well as communication documentation as needed **_Chart is an equal opportunity employer..._** Howden Canada is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all current and prospective employees, as well as to promoting a culture of inclusion and respect for everyone.
