**Job Title: Assembly Technician I** **Job Description** As an Assembly Technician I, you will be responsible for assembling and sub-assembling component parts using a variety of machines and hand tools. You will work on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical inclination, and the ability to work with power tools. You will be part of a team that ensures all quality standards are met and maintains a clean and orderly work environment. **Responsibilities** + Assemble and sub-assemble component parts in the Assembly Cell. + Add caps, ensure alignment, and run parts through the press machine. + Perform quality checks and pack finished coolers into shipping containers. + Test units using air pressure and remove plates after assembly. + Work in the Bundle Department to set up baffles, measure distances, and use a glue gun according to work orders. + Insert cores into the casting and prepare for pinning and pressing processes. + Maintain records relating to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance. + Visually inspect work and use measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met. + Keep work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly. + Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs. + Perform other miscellaneous job assignments as directed by the Team Lead or Manager. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined + Proficiency with power tools + Attention to detail + 2 years of hands-on experience + Ability to work with hand tools + High school diploma or GED + Basic arithmetic skills (MDAS, decimals) + Reading comprehension at the 8th-grade level **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Direct manufacturing assembly experience is a plus + Hand dexterity + Ability to work with both hands + Safety conscientious + Willingness to cross-train **Why Work Here?** We invest in our people because we understand that our success is directly linked to our team members. The work environment includes a newly upgraded facility with a climate-controlled pressing operation and ergonomic considerations. Team sizes range from 3 to 6 individuals depending on the task. The facility is clean, climate-controlled, and has been upgraded with significant investments. PPE requirements include steel toe boots, long work pants (jeans or Dickies), safety glasses, and a safety vest.
