As an Entry Assembler you will work within a team to build Tennant machines from start to completion. In this role, you’ll utilize various hand and power tools, following work instructions to achieve our Tennant quality standards. If you enjoy being a part of a team and using your problem-solving skills, then this is the role for you.
Core Responsibilities:
• Perform mechanical assembly of products with complex functions requiring independent judgment
• Understand and follow established procedures and processes to safely produce quality parts
• Recognize, communicate and document safety concerns
• Troubleshoot and adjust to build a quality product
• Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized
• Complete work documentation accurately such as production orders, tags, and quality sheets
• Navigate Microsoft Windows and WorkForce proficiently
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Technical Degree within a related field from an accredited institution or 0-2 years of related mechanical assembly experience
• Must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within mechanical and electrical assembly
• Related manufacturing experience is preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Required Physical Demands:
• Routinely lifts up to 40 pounds individually
• Works in multiple positions during a shift
• Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift
Environmental Exposures:
• Routinely and regularly works near moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to hot conditions
• Occasionally exposed to non-toxic fumes
• Moderate noise level
• Occasionally exposed to oil, grease, gasoline, dust, metal particles and sharp edged materials
Safety Requirements:
• Exposed to hazards/risks that require body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, safety glasses, etc.)
