**Job Title: Heavy Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing components of crane systems, using a variety of hand and power tools, and working from blueprints and diagrams. You will join a team that manufactures multiple models of crane systems, with each member having their own work station. Your main duties will include planning workflow, inspecting parts, assembling hydraulics and air lines, and ensuring production specifications and quality standards are met. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and diagrams to correctly assemble crane components. + Plan workflow and layout jobs efficiently. + Inspect parts for adherence to specifications, and use grinding or torching as needed. + Fill counterweights, and cut and stamp gaskets. + Assemble hydraulics and air lines. + Locate parts needed for the assembly process, and lubricate and grease parts. + Assemble cranes and crane sub-assemblies for standard and pilot products to meet production schedules. + Ensure bearings, seals, and hydraulics fit and operate according to instructions. + Maintain the flow of work through the department. + Ensure production specifications and quality standards are met. + Operate and perform final checks on finished products. + Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. + Follow and comply with all safety regulations and practices. + Complete all required paperwork. **Essential Skills** + Proficient in reading blueprints and diagrams. + Experience with hand and power tools. + Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills. + Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams. + Familiarity with hydraulic systems. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Experience in automotive, hydraulic, or military mechanics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Two years of experience in heavy assembly or mechanical work. + Ability to use small hand and power tools and measuring tools. + Experience operating hoists. + Basic education equivalent to the ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team in a supportive and collaborative environment. The first shift runs from Monday to Friday, 6am-4:30pm, with occasional weekend work towards the end of the production life cycle. Expect moderate to loud noise levels from power tools and welding equipment.
