**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
Assembler - FIRST SHIFT! The assembler will move around to different departments and perform general production functions including assembly, machine operation, and quality control of small metal pieces used in medical field during surgeries. Rotation occurs every 2 hours. This is very small and intricate work, requiring the assembler to be on their feet all day. The work is repetitive, involving large orders with very small parts. Some tasks involve sitting at a bench while performing the assembly, and others involve standing. Employees often switch functions after an hour to vary the tasks. Microscope experience is a plus, as a lot of attention to detail is required for this job.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform general production functions including assembly, machine operation, and quality control.
+ Move between different departments every 2 hours.
+ Stand or sit while performing assembly tasks, switching functions every hour.
+ Ensure high attention to detail while working with small and intricate parts.
+ Maintain quality control standards for small metal pieces used in medical surgeries.
**Essential Skills**
+ Attention to detail
+ Ability to be on feet for 8 hours
+ Experience in manufacturing (preferred but not required)
+ Basic measuring device utilization
+ Microscope experience (preferred)
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry level position
+ Experience in soldering or working with small parts is a plus

**Work Environment**
There are about 70 people in the facility. The first shift runs Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 4:30pm, and Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The second shift runs Monday through Friday from 4:30pm to 2:00am. The facility is clean and organized, with machines placed close together in a tight space. Standards and expectations are clearly visible, with boards and computer screens displaying goals compared to actual output. Employees work together in a team environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Durham, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
