**Job Responsibilities:** 1. **Cabinet Design and Construction:** + Interpret blueprints, sketches, or customer specifications to design custom cabinets. + Measure and cut wood, plywood, MDF, and other materials for cabinetry projects. + Assemble and construct cabinet frames, doors, shelves, and other components using hand tools, power tools, and machines (saws, routers, drills, etc.). + Ensure all components fit together precisely and meet quality standards. 1. **Finishing and Detailing:** + Sand, stain, paint, or apply finishes to cabinets as required by the project. + Install hardware (hinges, handles, and pulls) and other finishing touches. 1. **Installation:** + Travel to job sites to measure spaces and install custom cabinets. + Ensure the proper alignment, functionality, and sturdiness of the installed cabinets. + Make adjustments as needed during installation. 1. **Material Handling and Inventory:** + Select and source the right materials for each project based on specifications and client needs. + Maintain an organized inventory of tools, materials, and supplies. + Ensure the safe handling and proper storage of materials. 1. **Quality Control:** + Inspect finished cabinets for defects or imperfections and make corrections as needed. + Ensure cabinets meet industry standards and local building codes. 1. **Customer Interaction:** + Communicate with clients to understand their preferences, budget, and design requirements. + Provide suggestions and offer advice on materials, finishes, and design ideas. + Address customer concerns or modifications to designs during the project. **Skills and Qualifications:** + **Experience:** Proven experience as a cabinet maker or woodworking professional (typically 2-5 years). + **Skills:** Proficient in using woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, drills, sanders, and routers. + **Attention to Detail:** Ability to produce precise and high-quality work. + **Physical Stamina:** Ability to lift heavy materials and work on feet for extended periods. + **Problem-Solving:** Ability to troubleshoot issues during construction or installation. + **Communication Skills:** Ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members. + **Technical Knowledge:** Knowledge of woodworking techniques, finishes, and industry standards. + **Mathematical Skills:** Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, and use measurements and calculations for accurate cuts. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
