**Job Title: Heavy Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This position involves constructing components of crane systems using hand tools, power tools, and blueprints. You will have your own work station and will be responsible for assembling hydraulics, air lines, and crane sub-assemblies. Attention to detail and adherence to safety regulations are crucial in this role. **Responsibilities** + Plan workflow and layout jobs. + Inspect parts for adherence to specifications; grind or torch as needed. + Fill counterweights, cut and stamp gaskets. + Assemble hydraulics and air lines. + Locate parts needed for the assembly process. + Lubricate and grease parts. + Assemble cranes and crane sub-assemblies for standard products, first-run or pilot products in support of and meeting production schedules. + Ensure bearings, seals, and hydraulics fit and operate according to instructions. + Assist in maintaining the flow of work through the department. + Ensure production specifications and quality standards are met. + Operate and perform final check of finished products. + Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. + Follow and comply with all safety regulations and practices. + Complete all required paperwork. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read blueprints and diagrams. + Proficient use of hand tools and power tools. + Mechanical assembly experience. + Electrical assembly knowledge. + Experience with hydraulic systems. + Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams. + Mechanical troubleshooting skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Two years of experience in heavy assembly or mechanical work. + Experience in automotive mechanics, hydraulic mechanics, or military mechanics is highly desirable. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Basic education equivalent to reading, writing, and arithmetic. + Ability to operate hoists and frequently lift and carry tools and parts. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values craftsmanship and quality. The role operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am-4:30pm, with occasional weekend work towards the end of the month. Expect moderate to loud noise levels from power tools and welding equipment, with work near mechanical moving parts and some outdoor weather conditions. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, Texas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
