**Job Title: 1st Shift Assembler** **Job Description** Under general supervision, the Assembler I is responsible for assembling components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components to contribute to the completion of a variety of products. The assembler adheres to safety, quality, and quantity standards and follows directions and blueprints to meet product specifications. **Responsibilities** + Assemble components, including sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components. + Adhere to safety, quality, and quantity standards. + Follow directions and blueprints to meet product specifications. + Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends. + Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. + Carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English. + Maintain good housekeeping and ergonomic practices. + Participate in workplace organization and follow training procedures, including cross-training and teamwork. + Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail. + Speak up and report any safety or quality issues observed. + Learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Work collaboratively in a diverse team setting and participate in conflict resolution. **Essential Skills** + High school diploma or GED. + Ability to meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends. + Ability to read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. + Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English. + Attention to detail and ability to adhere to safety-related issues. + Ability to learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Teamwork skills, including working in a diverse setting and conflict resolution. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with assembly, hand tools, production, mechanical, and mechanical assembly. + Experience in general labor and manual assembly of medical products. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values growth, learning, and progression. Job demands include prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as appropriate. You may be required to reach, push, or pull to accomplish job responsibilities. Coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot is necessary. The work environment supports good housekeeping and ergonomic practices. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Portage, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
