**Description** Assemblers will join a team of assemblers, inspectors, and deburr operators to ensure that product is built and finished correctly. Assemblers will: - Follow written work instruction manuals to sub assemble and assemble aerospace parts. - Use Glues, bonding agents, rivet guns, lubricants, small manual press (to push in bearings and bushings, and other hand tools to build product. This includes installing pins, inserts, honing product to size, grit blasting, etc. - Use work instructions to interpret tolerance and use quality tools like calipers, gauges, and micrometer to ensure quality to two or three decimal points - Document EVERY step of the way with the utmost quality. Each department relies on the previous to correctly complete their task. Once complete, an initial on the paper work instruction is the green light for welding, brazing, or finishing to do their part of the process. A skipped step can cost the company on-time delivery. The assemblies are not difficult, just detailed. There are certain parts that are tiny screws and/or holes that need to be glued.. so you need some hand dexterity to work with small parts and a HIGH LEVEL of quality mindset to follow specific directions. Some parts weight up to 50 lbs, but most are in the 5-10lb range. Secondary Duties - The best people will be willing and able to cross train on the rest of the areas so they can cover for absences. This will come with time. **Skills** Blueprint, Calipers, Micrometer, assembly, gauge, mechanical aptitude, work instruction, blueprint reading, Inspection, Production, Brazing, Hand tool, Machine operating, Quality control, Assembly line, Quality inspection, Machine operation, General labor, Deburring, Mechanical, Quality assurance, Mechanical assembly, Power tool, General production, Tape measure **Top Skills Details** Blueprint,Calipers,Micrometer,assembly,gauge,mechanical aptitude,work instruction,blueprint reading **Additional Skills & Qualifications** MUST HAVE: - Proven assembly experience in the manufacturing industry - Must be detail oriented with a good mechanical aptitude - Must have experience interpreting drawings and/or written work instructions to complete an assembly or quality task - Must be proficient in inspection equipment (i.e. depth micrometer, calipers, height gage, etc.) - Must have Basic skills in mathematics and geometrics - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Available to work overtime - They are mandating new hires sign confirmation that they understand they'll be working Saturdays. Mandated right now Nice to Have: - Experience with CNC or manual machines such as lathes and mills (recommended, not required) - Experience with Deburring **Experience Level** Expert Level **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
