Job Description
As an Assembly Technician, you will perform a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and hand tools to complete the assembly and sub-assembly of component parts. You will work in the Assembly Cell to put together sub-assemblies, ensure they are aligned, and run them through the press machine. You will be responsible for quality checks and packing finished coolers into shipping containers.
ResponsibilitiesWork in the Assembly Cell to put together sub-assemblies, add caps, and run them through the press machine.Perform quality checks and pack finished coolers into shipping containers.Test units using air pressure and remove plates after assembly.Set up baffles into fixtures according to work orders and use calipers to measure distances.Use a glue gun as specified in work orders.Insert cores into the casting and prepare for pinning and pressing processes.Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance.Ensure all quality standards are met by visually inspecting work and using measuring devices.Keep the work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly.Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs.Perform other miscellaneous job assignments as directed by Team Lead or Manager.Essential SkillsMechanically inclinedExperience using power toolsAttention to detail2 years of hands-on experienceHigh school diploma or GEDBasic arithmetic and reading skillsHand dexterity and ability to work with both handsAbility to use basic hand toolsSafety conscientiousWillingness to cross-trainAdditional Skills & QualificationsDirect manufacturing assembly experience is a plusWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled with significant facility upgrades to ensure a clean and ergonomic workspace. The pressing operation is in a climate-controlled environment, and the assembly cells have been upgraded. Team size ranges from 3 to 6 individuals depending on the task, and there are over 75 employees at the facility. PPE required includes steel toe boots, long work pants, safety glasses, hearing protection (optional), and a safety vest.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
