Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in assembling small parts to engine manifolds, ensuring accuracy and quality in every step of the process. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and the use of various hand and pneumatic tools.

ResponsibilitiesHelp assemble small parts to engine manifolds.Add washers and bolts on coolers.Utilize torque tools to tighten to specific measurements.Follow step-by-step instructions.Add oil when required and perform bench assembly work.Complete minor paint touch-ups if needed.Conduct final inspections to ensure order and inventory accuracy.Assist in loading completed assemblies into crates.Use pneumatic tools, including grinders, air ratchets, impact guns, and rivet guns.Steam clean pieces to ensure parts are free from dirt and chips.Dip parts into rust remover and oil parts prior to packaging.Perform final inspections of parts.Band workpieces and prepare them for shipping.Comfortably move larger equipment.Essential SkillsAttention to detailAssembly experienceAbility to read blueprintsHand tool experienceMechanical assembly experienceCalipers usageAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in assembly, hand tools, and blueprint readingMechanical assembly experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

This is a day shift position where steel-toe boots are required. Our facility houses 120 employees and is expanding to accommodate three shifts. The work environment is older, split into two separate buildings, and can be loud, dirty, and hot in the summer or cold in the winter. You will work in specific departments under a supervisor with a set team. The facility includes areas with CNC machinery, welding booths, and racking systems. We are actively working to upgrade the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $19.10/hr.
