The one-line assembler is expected to fully understand all warehouse processes to proficiently execute online fulfillment center activities and standard operating procedures. The one-line assembler will be responsible for assembling products on the production line and ensuring that all parts and components are assembled correctly and in time manner. The assembler must adhere to safety, efficiency, and quality standards set out by the company. **Essential Job Functions** + Perform all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse. + Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions. + Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles). + Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. + Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. + Uses hand tools to assemble parts. + Collaborating with team in order to assemble products. + Identify defective and handling them according to established procedures. + Monitor inventory for correct quantities of components. + Verify resources and supplies prior to assembly. + Inspect tools and equipment necessary to perform the task. + Using reason to solve problems as they rise. + Report out-of-stock items to management. + Ability to develop and maintain positive relations with customers, coworkers and supervisors. + Ability to multi-task and to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work full time or overtime, if necessary. **Education/Experience** + No prior work experience required; 2-3 years of experience preferred: prior warehouse experience preferred. + High School diploma or GED required. **Competencies** + Exhibits sound and accurate judgement. + Uses time efficiently. + Reacts well under pressure. + Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. + Observes safety procedures. **Work Environment** + Ability to operate and maneuver warehouse equipment, including, but not limited to, pallet jacks, forklifts, pickers, reach trucks, push carts, and wire cutting, paralleling, and pulling head installation machines, in the manner necessary to move materials and consistent with manufacturers’ instructions and safety instructions. + Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including the ability to perform physical requirements, adapt to seasonal changes. **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
