**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
Join a dedicated team of assemblers, inspectors, and deburr operators to ensure that aerospace products are built and finished to the highest standards. As an assembler, you will follow written work instruction manuals to sub-assemble and assemble parts, using various tools and quality instruments to ensure precision and quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow written work instruction manuals to sub-assemble and assemble aerospace parts.
+ Use glues, bonding agents, rivet guns, lubricants, small manual presses, and other hand tools to build products. This includes installing pins, inserts, honing products to size, and grit blasting.
+ Interpret tolerance and use quality tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers to ensure quality to two or three decimal points.
+ Document every step of the process with the utmost quality, ensuring each department correctly completes their tasks.
+ Initial paperwork to indicate completion and green light for subsequent processes such as welding, brazing, or finishing.
+ Willingness to cross-train in other areas to cover for absences.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven assembly experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ Detail-oriented with good mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience interpreting drawings and written work instructions.
+ Proficiency in using inspection equipment (e.g., depth micrometer, calipers, height gage).
+ Basic skills in mathematics and geometrics.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
+ Availability to work overtime, including Saturdays.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with CNC or manual machines such as lathes and mills (recommended, not required).
+ Experience with deburring.
**Available Shift & Pay**
+ 1st shift, Monday to Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm)
+ With heavy overtime, expected to have at least 8-10 hours a week for the forseeable future
+ Employees are currently working Saturdays is mandated, and many employees work until 4:30-5 pm Monday to Friday
+ **$20-25 based on experience**
**Work Environment**
+ The facility includes over 100 CNC machines, a climate-controlled and bright assembly area, and a traditional machine shop environment.
+ The assembly area is moderately organized, while the machine shop may be a bit dirtier. Assemblers will spend time in both areas.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of the southside of Indianapolis, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Indianapolis,IN.
