**Job Title: 2nd Shift Assembler** **Pay is $16.00-$18.00/hr (WEEKLY pay!)** **Job Description** Under general supervision, you will assemble components that may include sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components, contributing to the completion of a variety of products. You will adhere to safety, quality, and quantity standards, following directions and blueprints to meet product specifications. **Responsibilities** + Assemble components including sub-assemblies, manual components, and electrical components. + Adhere to safety, quality, and quantity standards. + Follow directions and blueprints to meet product specifications. + Meet work schedule and overtime requirements, including weekends. + Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies in English. + Carry out verbal instructions and communicate verbally in English. + Maintain good housekeeping and ergonomics practices. + Participate in workplace organization and training procedures, including cross training and teamwork. + Maintain attention to detail and speak up when safety or quality issues occur. + Learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Work cooperatively in a diverse setting and with cross-functional teams. + Resolve conflicts and contribute to team improvement. + Show motivation to grow, learn, and progress to the next level in skills, including willingness to cross train. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and understand English procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies. + Ability to carry out verbal instructions and communicate in English. + Adherence to safety and ergonomics practices. + Attention to detail and ability to identify and report issues. + Ability to learn new processes, systems, and equipment. + Teamwork and ability to work in a diverse setting. + Conflict resolution skills. + Motivation to grow and willingness to cross train. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift/carry 50-75 lbs. + Prolonged stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as needed. + Ability to reach, push, or pull to accomplish job tasks. + Hand grasp ability and coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot. + High school diploma or GED. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The work environment emphasizes safety, ergonomics, and good housekeeping practices. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
