**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for training assemblers to service and assemble skid mounted control panel wiring units for the oil & gas industry. You will be reading drawings and using basic hand tools, performing a mix of mechanical and electrical assembly. Key tasks include reading blueprints, performing electrical terminations, threading pipe, bending conduit and tubing, and other smaller mechanical assemblies. The tubing bending instrumentation involves small tubing ranging from 1/2" to 3" in diameter.
**Responsibilities**
+ Train assemblers to service and assemble skid mounted control panel wiring units for the oil & gas industry.
+ Read and interpret drawings and blueprints for electrical terminations, pipe threading, and conduit/tubing bending.
+ Use basic hand tools for mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
+ Perform electrical wiring and terminations, including control panel wiring and cabling.
+ Identify and work with instrumentation tubing ranging from 1/2" to 3" in diameter.
**Essential Skills**
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Proficient with using a tape measure.
+ Mechanically inclined with high initiative and a willingness to learn.
+ Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly.
+ Skilled in wiring, power tools, pipe threading, electrical terminations, and control panels.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with terminating enclosures/junction boxes with more than 20 terminations.
+ Point-to-point wiring experience.
+ Instrumentation and tubing experience, capable of identifying tubing from 1/2" to 3" in diameter.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a non-climate controlled fabrication facility in Houston, TX, with large fans to help manage the temperature. The team consists of about 15 workers, all cross-trained in electrical and mechanical assembly. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and work shirts. The first shift typically runs from 6:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Thursday (4 10-hour days) and Friday (8 hours). During the summer, the shift starts at 5:00am to avoid the heat of the day. While the typical workweek is 48 hours, there may be times when 60-hour weeks are required based on production needs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
