Responsibilities:
Assemble, inspect, modify, and rework developmental electronic subsystems, components, harnesses, and cables for experimental and preproduction purposes.Operate equipment to fabricate and assemble microelectronic circuit assemblies under engineering direction.Work from blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings to assemble electronic devices, route wires, and fabricate harnesses.Perform microelectronic assembly using microwelding, microsoldering, and die bonding techniques.Identify and select electrical components from schematics and verify proper rotation, polarity, and terminal connections.Conduct continuity, capacitance, and resistance measurements to ensure quality standards.Assist in developing and refining assembly methods and provide oral or written reports as required.Perform rework on assemblies and ensure welds meet quality standards.Maintain equipment and meet certification requirements.Qualifications:
Education and Experience:High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.Experience and Skills:
Proficiency in fine motor skills, including soldering chip resistors, fine-pitch components, and 10 mil silver/gold ribbon.Experience with wire stripping, tinning, and soldering wires to pads and leaded components.Experience working with microscopes in a lab environment.Skilled in mechanical integration, torqueing hardware, bonding, and staking.Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and scales.Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, prints, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred Skills:
