Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and/or electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units. You will use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and various equipment to fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements. Additionally, you will repair units or products that do not meet requirements. This position requires knowledge acquired through experience, specialized education, or training and follows clearly defined procedures and tasks with established guidelines to aid in decision-making.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units.Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment for assembly tasks.Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet product tolerances and operating requirements.Repair units or products that fail to meet requirements.Follow detailed and defined rules/instructions and make simple judgments in straightforward situations.Essential SkillsProficiency in assembly techniques.Experience with hand tools, power tools, and other assembly equipment.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.Basic understanding of work routines and procedures in the assembly discipline.Additional Skills & QualificationsSpecialized education or training in assembly or a related field.No prior experience required, though experience is beneficial.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment with a standard shift from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The role requires the use of hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and other assembly equipment. The dress code is typically casual, but safety gear may be required.

This is a Contract position based out of Durham, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $31.20/hr.
