The Assembler II position reflects an advanced skillset and is important to the manufacturing process in that they build complex electrical and mechanical assemblies, as well as perform soldering functions. Job duties will require an advanced ability to prepare and complete work by studying assembly instructions, parts lists, blueprints, and schematics to produce the assembled product. The Assembler II will perform all assembly operations for pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies. JOB DUTIES Essential Job Functions: The Assembler II will provide reliable and timely support in the building of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies as follows: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and electrical/wiring schematics as needed. Ability to read and follow POD production order descriptions to assemble finished product. Ability to analyze mechanical and operational aspects of tools and equipment used to assemble products. Ability to identify and gather parts required for the project. Ability to follow oral and written instructions from engineers and supervisor(s) on process changes. Ability to install and assemble intricate components to complete final assembly. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision for the entire assembly process. Compete work in a timely manner and notify the supervisor when equipment is ready to move to the next phase of the assembly process. Ability to inspect products per the engineering specifications to ensure proper assembly. Ability to start and complete entire equipment assembly process, including subassembly building and integration. Ability to troubleshoot problems, identify problems and communicate issues to supervisor or engineering. Ability to recommend ECR engineering requests to improve process. Ability to write assembly procedures on final product. Comply with all other duties as needed to assist the company in attaining its objectives. Understands and complies with safety guidelines, quality system procedures and housekeeping standards. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This position primarily involves use of fine motor skills for calibration of equipment. Will also involve placement of product on carts to push to Applications Department for testing. Good vision is required for reading of diagrams and for higher level wiring projects. Process may require sitting or standing in the same position for long periods of time as needed to assemble a particular product. Occasional work near moving mechanical parts SKILLS Ability to read and write English Able to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Ability to read, interpret, and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances utilizing micrometers & calipers Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Possess excellent written and verbal communication skill Possess a strong working knowledge with Microsoft Office QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE – 2-4 years of related experience preferred EDUCATION – High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical school experience preferred Experience and Education can be an equivalent combination of preferred qualifications
